👤 Add friends and favourites, and choose your feed

Heart your favourite horses and stables, add friends, write posts and comments, and choose what appears in your feed.

Mark the horses and stables you like as favourites, add your friends, and follow your stable's news in the feed on your Hopoti home page.

Add a favourite horse

  1. Open your stable's Hopoti page and select Horses.

  2. Select the heart next to the horse you like. You can also select the heart on the horse's own page.

The heart turns red and the horse shows under Favourite horses on the Horses page of your profile. When your stable assigns horses for a lesson, it sees which horses you've marked as favourites.

If a horse isn't on the list, your stable may have chosen not to show it to riders.

The stable's Hopoti page on the Horses tab: the stable name, the Home, Booking, Shop and Horses menu with the stable's heart on the right, a search field, Information and Breed info, and the list of horses (official name, nickname, birthday) with a heart next to each, two of them red for favourite horses.

Add a favourite stable

On the stable's Hopoti page, select the heart next to the stable's name. The stable then shows under Favorites in the top bar, and you're added to its client list, so the stable can see your rider details. Your home stable, one of your favourites, shows first on your Hopoti home page. See Find your stable and add it as a favourite.

Add a friend

  1. Open your friend's Hopoti profile: select their name in a comment on a stable's or a horse's page, or ask your friend for the link to their profile.

  2. Select the heart next to your friend's name on their profile.

Your friend is added straight away and doesn't need to confirm. Depending on privacy settings, you can then see your friend's wall and their posts in your feed. Friends can also give each other bookings and Stablecard credits: see Give a booking or Stablecard credits to someone else.

Write posts and comments

Riders, stables and horses each have a Hopoti page with a wall. On a wall you can write posts, and comment on and like posts, as the wall's privacy settings allow. You can add pictures to posts and comments. You can edit your own posts, and whoever manages a wall (you on your own wall, the stable on its wall) can delete the posts and comments on it.

Choose what you see in your feed

The feed on your Hopoti home page shows these posts, and you can comment on and like them:

  • news posts from your favourite stables

  • posts, comments and pictures on your favourite horses' pages

  • posts and riding diary entries from your friends, depending on privacy settings

  • posts from Hopoti, such as tips on using Hopoti and stables that have just joined

To choose what shows in your feed, open Home View Settings: on a computer it's on the left of the home page, and on a phone it's below Achievements. Then choose the posts you want to see: Own, Friends, Horses, Businesses and Hopoti.

Choose who sees your posts

Your privacy settings in Account settings > Account Details decide who sees your wall and profile (Everyone, Friends only or Only me) and who can post on your wall. See Your profile and account settings.
