Calendars sort what you sell into tabs on your Booking page, such as riding lessons, camps and arena hire, and decide which lessons show in Horse assign. Locations are the places where your lessons happen, such as arenas, fields or your office. You need Administrator permissions to change both.
Create a calendar
Go to Settings > Calendars and select New calendar.
Choose an icon with Select icon and pick a Calendar name from the list. Your own words in Extra label (Optional) show after the name. To use only your own name, choose the empty option at the bottom of the Calendar name list and type it in Extra label (Optional).
Choose the calendar's options (see the table below).
Select Add.
To put a lesson in the calendar, choose it under Event calendar when you create or edit the lesson. A lesson can be in several calendars, for example Riding Lessons and Discounts. To change a calendar later, select the pencil next to it, then Save changes.
Each calendar has these options. A new calendar starts with Calendar, Week and Yes for Planning, Printing, Skill level and Stablecards.
Option | What it does |
Presentation | Calendar for regular lessons, Showcase for camps and eye-catching offers. |
Search | With Calendar: whether riders see 3 days, a week or a month at a time. With Showcase: how far ahead events are loaded, from a week to 12 months. |
Planning | Whether the calendar's lessons show in Horse assign by default. |
Printing | Whether the calendar's lessons are printed from Horse assign by default. |
Skill level | Whether riders see a skill level filter on this calendar. |
Stablecards | Whether riders see a Stablecard filter on this calendar. |
Quick checkout | Whether new riders can book this calendar's lessons and services with Quick checkout. Shows only when your Quick checkout type is Select by calendar. |
Choose the order on your Booking page
In Settings > Calendars, select Order.
Drag the calendars into the order you want.
Under All calendar position, choose whether the combined All calendar comes First or Last.
Select Save.
Riders see the first calendar when they open your Booking page, so put your main product, such as riding lessons, or a showcase first.
Add your locations
Go to Settings > Locations.
Type the location's name in the empty row, for example Indoor arena or Office, and select Add.
Add every place where your lessons and courses happen: arenas and fields, and rooms such as your office. For example, a course can have its theory part in the office and its riding in the arena. You then choose the location under Event location on each lesson. Riders see it in their calendar, and it shows on some print-outs and reports.
Open the section that fits your situation:
If you want a showcase for camps
If you want a showcase for camps
Create a calendar such as Camps, set Presentation to Showcase and choose under Search how far ahead it loads events, for example 6 months. A showcase suits a handful of events; for dozens, use the calendar view.
If a calendar should not appear in Horse assign
If a calendar should not appear in Horse assign
Set Planning and Printing to No, for example for arena hire. A lesson in at least one calendar shows in Horse assign and on its print-out by default only if one of its calendars has Planning or Printing on. A lesson in no calendar always shows there. To see the other lessons in Horse assign, choose their calendar in the Calendar menu at the top.
If you share calendars with another stable
If you share calendars with another stable
Another Hopoti stable can show its calendar and lessons on your Booking page, and you on theirs. See Share calendars with another stable.
If something doesn't look right
Check these in order:
Riders can't find a lesson: check the lesson's Event calendar. For a showcase, check that Search loads events far enough ahead.
Lessons are missing from Horse assign or its print-out: Planning or Printing is No on all of the lesson's calendars. Set one to Yes, or choose the calendar in the Calendar menu at the top of Horse assign.
The name you want isn't in the list: choose the empty option at the bottom of the Calendar name list and type your own name in Extra label (Optional).
Riders land on the wrong calendar: change the Order.
Still stuck? Message our team with the calendar's name and a lesson that should be in it.
