When one price covers things taxed at different rates, such as riding, arena use and meals at a camp, split it into line items. Each line has its own name, amount and VAT rate, and riders still pay one price. Which rate applies to each item depends on your country's rules (see Set VAT or sales tax on your prices). You need to be an Administrator or an Instructor to change lessons.

Split a lesson price into line items
Go to Events, click the lesson and open the Edit tab. For a series, click the first lesson that should change.
Enter the price riders pay, tax included, in Single event price or Season price, then select Add line items under it.
Under Line items, enter the first item's Name and Amount and choose its VAT %. A new line starts with the price's rate.
Select Add line item for each further item. The bin icon removes a line.
Check that Line items total matches the price exactly. It shows in red until it does.
Save the lesson. For a series, choose Save changes to all events > Only save changes to all events so every later lesson gets the same line items.
While a price has line items, its own VAT % field is hidden and each line's rate is used. Riders pay the same price as before, and their receipts, emails and History, and your Archive invoices and VAT report, show the VAT for each rate.
Example: a camp with riding, arena use and meals
A camp priced at 300.00 is split into three line items (Finnish VAT rates as an example):

The rider pays 300.00 for the camp, and the receipt shows the VAT at 13.5% and 25.5% separately.

When you create or edit a camp, select Add line items under the Camp price and split it the same way, for example into riding, arena use and meals or accommodation. Riders buy the camp at the camp price. See Create a camp.

Open the service and the option, and select Add line items under the option's price. The option riders see shows each VAT rate of its line items, and they pay the option's price. See Set up a bookable service.

Each invoice already issued keeps its own copy of the line items, so your change doesn't affect it. Invoices split into parts, such as season instalments, keep the line items in proportion. New bookings and invoices get the line items as they are now.
If line items don't work as expected
Add line items is missing or locked: line items aren't on your plan. Message our team.
Line items total is red: the lines don't add up to the price. Change an amount or the price.
You can't add or edit existing line items: your business has moved to a plan without line items. The existing line items keep working, and riders can still book and pay.
