Some stables add a booking fee to their prices. Your stable decides whether to add one and how much it is, and may use its own name for it. The booking fee is part of the price, and the whole amount is paid to your stable.
Where you see the booking fee
You always see the booking fee before you pay:
Prices on the Booking page and in the Shop show the full amount, with "incl." and the fee's amount and name under it.
At checkout, the payment summary shows the booking fee as its own line, with its own VAT.
Your receipt and confirmation email show it as its own line, "Booking fee (excl. VAT)": see Find your receipts and payment history.
An open invoice says "Booking fee is added at checkout", and the total shows the fee before you pay.
What the booking fee applies to
If your stable has added a booking fee, it's part of everything you pay for there: single lessons, seasons and their instalments, Stablecards, Passes, services, gift cards, invoices from your stable and Membership invoices. It applies whichever way you pay, online or at the stable.
Seasons paid in instalments: each instalment includes the booking fee in force when you pay it.
Bookings you pay at the stable: the fee is fixed when you book. If you later pay that invoice online, no second fee is added.
Several invoices or Stablecards in one payment: the booking fee is charged once, on the total.
Bank payments (ACH) in the United States: some stables charge a lower fee for bank payments, shown as an extra price ending in "when paying by ACH".
A booking fee isn't a booking deposit
A booking deposit is the first part of a season or camp price, paid to secure your place, and it counts towards the total price. A booking fee is included in every price at stables that use one. See Book a whole season or a camp.
Questions about the fee
Your stable sets the booking fee, so ask your stable about the amount: Hopoti can't change it. If the fee on your receipt doesn't match what you saw before paying, message our team in the chat with your stable's name and the date and amount of the payment.
