Add your horses to Hopoti so riders can see them on your Hopoti page and you can match each rider to a suitable horse.
Add a horse
Go to Horses and select Add horse.
Under Basic information, fill in Official name and Nickname. Both are required.
Add any other public details: Gender, Breed, Birthday and Horse description. Select More for Sire, Dam, External breed link, Height and Color.
Select Add profile image and Add cover image to add photos.
Under Stable information, fill in Max rider weight and Max rider height, and select the Max rider level (select two levels for a range).
Write anything only your staff should see in Notes.
Leave Horse visibility on Visible to show the horse to riders.
Select Add.
The horse now shows in your Horses list and on the Horses page of your Hopoti page, where riders can open its profile and mark it as a favourite.
Basic information is public. Stable information is only for your staff. Hopoti uses it to show which horses suit each rider when you assign horses: see Assign horses to riders and print the day list.
If the horse isn't added, check that both Official name and Nickname are filled in.
Edit or remove a horse
In Horses, select the horse icon at the end of the horse's row.
Open the Edit tab.
Change the details and select Save changes.
On the Basic info tab you can also write Notes (only your staff see them) and Basic care instructions (your staff and anyone with permission to the horse see them). Save each with its tick button.
When a horse leaves the stable for good, open the Edit tab and select Remove horse. The horse goes off your lists, but its history stays in your reports. If the horse is only away for a while, hide it instead by switching Horse visibility to Hidden. If it moves to another Hopoti stable, give the new stable access instead, so the horse's records go with it.
To give an owner or another stable access to a horse, see Share a horse's information with owners and other stables.
Sort horses and read the Exercise column
To change the order of your horses, select Sort horses in Horses, drag the horses into order and select Save. Horse assign and print-outs use this order.
The Exercise column, for example 0 / 15, shows the horse's working hours this week, both ridden and planned, against 15 hours. That's the weekly workload the Finnish Equestrian Federation recommends: a guide, not a limit.
Hide a horse or store its health document
Open the part that fits your situation:
If the horse shouldn't be shown to riders
If the horse shouldn't be shown to riders
Open the horse, go to the Edit tab, switch Horse visibility to Hidden and select Save changes. A hidden horse no longer shows on the Horses page riders see. It stays in your own Horses list, greyed out, and you can switch it back to Visible at any time.
If you need to store a health document or Coggins certificate
If you need to store a health document or Coggins certificate
Open the horse. In the Horse health document section of the Basic info tab, select Upload new file and choose the latest document as a PDF or a photo. To replace it, upload the new one in the same place. Your staff and anyone with permission to the horse can view it.
On stables in the United States, the section is called Coggins, for the horse's Coggins certificate.
