🛟 I can't book a lesson

Check your login, the page you're on, your rider details, the closing time, who the lesson is for, your Registration Form and skill level.

Can't book a lesson at your stable? Go through these checks in order, most common first. Parents: also check whose account you're booking for.

Check that you're logged in and on the right page

  1. Log in to your Hopoti account. If that doesn't work, see I can't log in.

  2. Open your stable's Hopoti page, select Booking and check that it's the right stable.

  3. Under Select calendar, choose All events.

  4. Clear any filters that could hide the lesson (Filter by your skill level, Filter).

Check that your rider details are filled in

Hopoti needs your rider details, such as your height, weight and an emergency contact, before you pay for a booking. Open the menu in the top-right corner, select Account settings and fill in Rider details. For a child, use Account settings > Family Accounts.

Check the booking closing time

Your stable decides when online booking for a lesson closes. If it has set a closing time, the lesson shows "The booking closes" with the time and a countdown. After that you can't book online: contact your stable if you'd still like to come.

Check whether the lesson is open to you

Your stable decides who can book each lesson. It can keep a lesson for certain riders, such as its own groups or Pass holders: if you aren't one of them, you see the lesson but can't book it, or don't see it at all. It can also lock a lesson, so you see it but can't book it, or hide it so only its staff see it.

Ask your stable if you think the lesson should be open to you. For lessons for Pass holders, see Buy a Pass or a gift card.

Check that you've signed the Registration Form

If your stable uses a Registration Form, you must sign it before you can book. The lesson then shows "Participation in the events requires acceptance of the Registration Form." Select Sign Registration Form, sign the form, then book. See Sign your stable's Registration Form.

A lesson opened from the Booking page: Skill level at least Beginner with Pay attention to your skill level, the time, Reservations with 3 places sold - 3 open places, the price with the booking fee included, the cancellation policy, the description, the notice Participation in the events requires acceptance of the Registration Form with the Sign Registration Form button, and the account button next to Continue booking.

Check your skill level

A lesson can have a minimum level, shown as Skill level at least. If your level is lower, the lesson shows "Pay attention to your skill level" and you can usually still book.

Some stables let you book only lessons at or below your confirmed skill level. At these stables, until your level is confirmed, you can book only lessons at the lowest level (No experience, unless your stable uses its own titles). Set your level under Account settings > Rider details and ask your stable to confirm it. See Set your skill level.

Check whose account you're booking for

Parents book for one child at a time. The button next to Continue booking shows whose account you're booking for: select it and choose your child under Switch account. Your child needs their own rider details, Registration Form and skill level. See Set up a family account for your children.

Can't find your Stablecard, or a booking your stable made for you? You or your child may have a second Hopoti account, for example one made with another email address. Log in with your other email address, or ask your stable which account it's on. Two Hopoti accounts can't be joined, but your stable can move bookings to the account you use.

The Switch account window that opens from the account button next to Continue booking: the parent Mia Koskinen (Parent account, Active account) and the child accounts Ella Koskinen and Leo Koskinen to book for.

Other reasons you can't book

These apply only to some lessons. Open the section that matches yours:

If the lesson is full

You can't book a full lesson, but Hopoti can email you when a place opens up: select the lesson on the Booking page and select Subscribe to email. See Book a lesson.

If your Stablecard doesn't work for the lesson

If Pay with Stablecard isn't offered when you book, your Stablecard may have expired, have too few credits left, not fit this lesson or be on another family account. Check it under Cards in the menu in the top-right corner. Only your stable can extend a card or change which lessons it fits. For each check and what to do, see Buy and use Stablecards.

If you can't book a whole season

If a lesson offers only single lessons or Stablecards, the season isn't on sale, or not all of its lessons are open for booking yet. Ask your stable. See Book a whole season or a camp.

If you can't join a Membership

If your stable offers Memberships, you can't join one when every date it covers is full. See Join a monthly Membership.

If you still can't book

Contact your stable first: it decides who can book which lessons. If it looks like a problem with Hopoti, message our team in the chat with your stable's name, the lesson's name, date and time, your login email, who you're booking for and a screenshot of what you see.
